The Media Section

I never intended this site to become media-intensive, but here we are.  Its unavoidable in today's world.  However, to keep things light on my end (I run this site for about $8 dollars a year in domain registration fees plus whatever electricity it costs to run the server that I built for less than $300) I have no media engine or backend of any kind.

What you are looking at is written using Notepad on one of two vintage IBM Model M keyboards hosted on IIS 10 running on a home-built server made from used and spare parts in my actual garage where I also keep my cars, tractors, and at least 58 bins of my old lady's Christmas bullshit.  The internet at its finest!

Media will be presented here in either PDF for select still images or ZIP archives made directly from original optical media (CDs, DVDs) or other files containing the original unmodified content.  For playing an unzipped DVD archive, I find that VLC Media Player works pretty well and presents it pretty much like you're watching it on an actual DVD player connected to a TV.  VLC will play pretty much anything and is my go-to media player for work and play.

Attention July Session: Send me your stuff!  Email to dm dot boyle at att dot net or contact me through the Discord server.  I want everybody to be represented here.

NYLT Media

The NYLT syllabus comes with prepared media on DVD including video segments, documents, and so forth.  The course makes frequent use of multimedia thus requiring electronics such as DVD players, PCs, projectors, or displays.  As the syllabus is updated almost annually there are a number of revisions of this DVD out there.
